About Me

Most recently, I served as the First Innovation Director Ministry of Education’s Innovation Cell, Govt. of India. I am known for my tremendous contribution to streamlining and strengthening the innovation ecosystem in the education space in India. I conceived, planned, and executed a few of Govt’s noteworthy initiatives like the Smart India Hackathon, Toy hackathon, and many International initiatives like the Singapore-India Hackathon, ASEAN-India Hackathon, and UNESCO India Africa Hackathon. Because of my contributions to the hackathon space, people call me the ‘Hackathon Man of India.’

I, during my tenure as director, in addition to hackathons, I played a vital role in establishing 8000+ Institutions Innovation Councils across India in higher education institutions, Yukti2.0 – India’s first and only project collation platform, Framing of National Innovation and Start-up Policy, a unique initiative named KAPILA (KALAM Program for IP literacy and Awareness) – named after India Ex-President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam, and launched credited course in IPRs on SWAYAM for UG, PG, and Ph.D. students.
